    Consoling

This is the first time that I can recall[outside of 9/11] that are flags are flown at half staff. I agree with that.[our instead of are].Then the simple word SORRY is sufficient. In a lot of cases what follows is not for the bereaveds benefit. Anyone here ever been involved with hospice?I think the worse possible job on earth is being a chaplain who deals with the issue of up coming death, and the aftermath. I remember what he said, sorry is enough. Cause, justice, fault only cloud the issue. There are 4 words that explain it all. Most of us know what they are.

yes sir, I have been around it several times over my life span. and it ***** the life out of you, to see a loveone near death and there's nothing you can do for them but pray for their soul.

Yeah I have worked on hospice floors (service calls) and its sad. We dealt with hospice when my dad passed. Even though it was a tough topic I was thankful they were there.
