couldnt edit post, lake is creeping up slightly each day, we have had a few steady rains which is helping the bite

Started the morning with a good bite, boated 3-4 small fish 16-17 inch range but a good bite. Drifting live-bait off a flat near the channel. This was a morning with conditions you know its going to work, misty, drizzle, glass like to a small chop.
I stayed with the fish till noon, my better fish came later in the morning. I found the better fish up in the grass, deep water was handy but each fish was a load/with the grass. Easy 10 fish morning.
What did work for me was the area I had located my fish, when it slowed I only moved a few hundred yards and I was back on them. Also at least 3 of these fish, were on and I didn't know it. Another typical winter time occurrence, they pick the bait up an don't move. Water temp 51, fished Tropper to Lilly, some light stain, like creeping up
Hope to see some good reports.
Ill add some pics later tonight (3rd one down dup)

Nice report. Sounds like you were fishing similar areas as we did this weekend. This was the best bite we've had on Dale Hollow. Because of all the bad reports lately, I wasn't expecting much.
