"THESE MASS KILLINGS" are not on the rise, just the opposite actually. What is on the rise is the brainwashing of people who just watch the nightly news and don't actually do some research. Have you heard anything on the mall shooting about the ccl holder that stopped that mass murder? I wonder why not, maybe because it does not fit this administration agenda.

Fact of the matter is Know1, if want to be like mexico, you are on the right track. Check out their gun laws! Who supplies the criminals in mexico with firearms? Well the good ol USA government, do you think another government wouldn't furnish criminals guns here in the USA? The only protection we have from becoming like mexico is our second amendment and weakening it would have dire consequences.
I didn't say I wanted tighter gun control. What I said is I want to see people offering solutions rather than just saying we can't do anything about it.

I don't watch the nightly and yes I heard that a ccl holder "reportedly" stopped that shooter although the shooter killed himself so I feel like it's a stretch to say that.

Here's some info I got from ABC news online. These seem like facts to me rather than just opinion. The Associated Press story is talking about a peak that occurred almost 100 years ago.

When you look at a list of mass shootings in the last 30 years, in which a single gunman killed at least four people, this year does have the highest number of incidents with six mass shooting incidents excluding today's tragedy, according to a list compiled this year by Mother Jones. The Aurora movie theater shooting in Colorado, the Sikh shooting in Wisconsin, and the Seattle cafe shooting are among this year's massacres.
And the last few years have also had slightly higher incidents than those in the past three decades. Six of the 12 deadliest shootings have taken place since 2007, and Newton will rank second on that list, according to a report done by The Washington Post.
