    How Was Your Christmas Weather?

My Christmas Day was the worst I have ever had. Thunderstorms began between 10-11 am, heavy rain, large hail, tornadoes, and straight line winds. They lasted until about 8 pm with 75 mph wind gusts. My relatives were having dinner in Mobile and there was no way I was going to drive 110 miles in such weather. Mobile and nearby neighborhoods were torn up with tornadoes, my county took a beating with trees across many of the roads and a few houses destroyed....so my Christmas meals included a sausage biscuit and coffee for breakfast and a slice of pineapple about mid-afternoon. My husband was unable to come home so I spent Christmas alone with my dogs. We were safe and for that I am thankful.

I was awakened this morning about 4 am by a continuous weird noise overhead and went outside to see what was going on. I tripped over a shingle lying at the back steps. The noise I was hearing was more loose shingles on the roof. I've been trying to locate a roofing company to come and make repairs but they're busy repairing other houses. Lord I hope we don't get anymore rain until I can get my roof repaired. We are still having strong wind gusts.

I hope each of you had a very happy Christmas and made lots of good memories with your loved ones.
