Most of them in Campbellsville are boat friendly. For convenience to the lake and the fact your boat will be within sight of your room window try Lucky Vista. Call them early if your tourney fishing because a lot of fisherman stay there. If you want a motel with more amenities there is a Holiday Inn Express. There's also a Best Western and a Super 8 on the other side of town.

I wouldn't recommend the Lucky Vista. it has really gone down lately. I'd suggest the Towne Motel. It's on the same road as the Lucky Vista.

That could very well be true, Lucky Vista did have a change in ownership a while back and obviously since I live here I don't stay in any of the hotels. I was just going by the amount of boats I see parked at Lucky Vista on tournament nights. Towne Motel is farther off the road and it's hard to tell whats there at night. All things being equal I would stay at H.I.E. just for the amenities but I'm not sure how secure a boat would be.

Thanks guys I had looked at lucky and towne on line but wanted a local opinion first. I've never fished there before so I'llbe going down early to pre fish. Is it comparable to Nolin or Barren? Plus we will be having our classic there at the end of the season in october.

Don't expect the numbers of fish you'll catch at nolin or barren, but if you're there in the spring expect quality.....Weighed in 18.5lbs in a tourny last march and didn't cash a check in a tourney paying the top 4....It all depends on how the water warms as how you'll catch em and I might be able to give ya some help as it gets closer to time....October is feast or famine....Blanking is a possibility and generally 12-15lbs is a pretty good bag...Personally I wouldn't want to leave me boat parked outside all night at the Holiday Inn since they located the drug rehab place right next to it, but that's my opinion

I have stayed at Lucky Vista and Towne Motel and I have to agree with 12voltman. The Lucky Vista was a dump. Towne Motel was nice and we parked our boat right in front of our room.

Thanks looks like Towne is where I'll stay. As for october I know what you mean we had our classic last year at Cumberland and 8lbs took it for a two day tourney. I'd perfer Nolin in the fall and Wood creek in the spring. But you gotta go where the tourney is. We're also doing Lake Erie in June which I'm not too thrilled about in my Bass Tracker LOL..

If Super 8 is an option for you I can arrange permission for you to park your rig behind the motel in a banks employee parking lot. The lot is 20 feet from the motel and is very well illuminated and protected by security cameras. If you reserve a room in the east side of the hotel you'll have a direct view of your rig in the parking lot.

Thanks We'll probly go with Towne cause we need at least 8 rooms. And I like the idea of having my boat right in front of my room.
