Probably this man would not have the stones to go and attempt anything himself, face to face, with another person of equal strength and ability. He would want to pass laws and empower the police and the military to take peoples guns or in other words have someone else do the dirty work and run all the risks. He would likely hide in the shadows and wait for people to leave for their jobs or the grocery, then break in and seize the weapons. It is what most crooks and thieves do now. I would suggest that if these changes occur and the laws get passed that he volunteer to stand out front of the police and military and explain to people that it was his idea and he is there to personally confiscate their weapons.
