Outlawing abortion does not equal "forcing people to have kids".

They should do a poll of those "unwanted" kids with "loser parents" and see how many of them want us to murder them to put them out of their misery.

I know of only two options for a pregnant woman, one is having a baby, the other is having an abortion unless there is a third option I haven't heard about so yes, denying a pregnant woman an abortion is forcing her to have a baby unless you are in the group that believes waggin your finger at her will somehow fix the problem.

Here's the option most liberals forget about: Don't do the deed unprotected to begin with.

I agree that would be the best option but a pregnant woman doesn't seem to have that one and finger waggin serves absolutely no purpose.

Waggin the ole finger is what got them that way to begin with.

If a group of people believe something is wrong, that still doesn't make it wrong or even right for that matter. Its all about choice, the only reason this country exists is because someone decided that we as human beings DO have a choice and everyone is entitled to have a choice in any matter. I stated from the very beginning that I do not agree with abortions, but I do agree with it being someones choice because we are a free nation.

I have read where some people say that they are "protectors" and "guardians" so to speak and they are against abortions. I would bet my life that those same people have not once went to an abortion clinic and tried to stop a woman from going in by offering to pay all of her medical bills during the pregnancy and either adopting the child or helping to find someone to adopt the child. Instead, you just believe what you think is "right" do nothing about it and continue to infringe on others rights.

The day that such an important issues as an american woman's right to have an abortion is taken away, you might as well gather up all of your firearms and take them to the dump. Which I think will just be hilarious because Those of you that think abortions should be illegal and own firearms will be faced with another so called "Good Sheppard" organization that is trying to protect you by getting rid of firearms due school shootings, public shootings and crimes in general involving a gun And your going to whine and cry and say, Oh but that's my CHOICE and my RIGHT to own a gun!!! Just like it was a woman's choice and right to abort her pregnancy which is now gone because "Good Sheppard's" took that away.....

Deven, again, you are confusing "choice" with "rights".

The rights you have are the rights our society says you have. At one time, Americans had the right to own slaves. We don't now, because "a group of people" decided it was morally wrong. At one time, Americans had the right to buy cocaine at the drug store. "A group of people" realized it was harmful and addictive and had it banned.

As to "betting your life" that those of us who call ourselves protectors of the unborn haven't helped prevent abortions, helped pay medical bills of pregnant women, or helped promote adoption, that would be a very, very unwise bet for you to make.

I agree with you that things do change, but your comparing apples to oranges. Comparing pregnancy abortion to slavery and drugs is down right ignorant on your part. You said that americans had the right to own slaves, then why is our nations first constitution, The Articles of Confederation void of anything about slavery? Then when the constitution was written, it didn't even use the word "Slave" until the 13th amendment. Everyone knew owning another human being was just plain wrong from the get go.

As for drugs, they are still around and PERFECTLY legal, have you ever heard of a doctor? they give these things called prescriptions which allows you to get drugs. pain pills, uppers, downers, you name it.

    Hey Deven.

Americans owned slaves from the inception of our republic until the Emancipation Proclamation. If, as you say, they did not have the right to do because the Constitution didn't have the word "slavery", what law did they break?

Thanks for reminding me that "Everyone knew owning another human being was just plain wrong from the get go." Somewhere, in the dark recesses of my brain, I had this idea there was a gentlemen's disagreement about that issue at some point along the line. (Was there a fistfight or something, maybe? Pea shooters at ten paces during the 1860s? I know there was SOMETHING.)

As to your retort of "doctors give prescriptions" to my statement that "we no longer have the right to buy cocaine at the pharmacy", I have to admit, I have no response.

We're getting off track, but this is a very incorrect statement. The were PLENTY of people who actually thought they were doing the slaves a favor.
