As far as the future goes, Bama's OL and DL is socked full of younger players and no one can say they did not deliver this year. Think of the potential of what those young players can develop into besides what McCarron is capable of becoming in the next two years. Add in the DE and RB recruits and receiver Robert Foster that Saban has coming on line next year and the only thing that can slow Bama down is to start making them play on Sundays. On yeah, 16 of the 19 Bama Nat'l Championships were pre-BCS, so bring on the playoff system, it won't change a thing. By the way, how many ND players stayed on the ground for a while after a play. I don't think I would tick off either line by intentionaly hurting McCarron. Here's what can happen to you, Alabama @ Missouri 2012 Football - Bama Player body slams Mizzou Player - YouTube And that's with a 32 point lead.

As of now, there are three levels of NCAA Div 1 football 1. Alabama 2. SEC 3. Everyone else
Did you by chance look at those out of conference games? I haven't but I do know that traditionally, the SEC teams play nobody out of conference. Who did "Bama play OOC? I know they played WKU and I think the played Louisiana Monroe. Not really a powerhouse of OOC opponents. LSU last year actually grew a set and went on the road at WVU and I believe Oregon. They played decent teams, that is far from the norm in the SEC. EXACTLY THE REASON THERE NEEDS TO BE A PLAYOFF. You can start the season ranked #1, avoid playing anybody outside your conference and play for the national title. That is why the college football post season is a joke. It is a popularity contest and has nothing to do with settling it on the field.

BTW, I believe that video is typical of SEC football. Saw it from Florida a few times recently as well. Keep it classy SEC.

Bama's first game of the season was against #8 Michigan. (at the time) That would qualify as a powerhouse opponent. They did play WKU, they also played 5 top ten and 2 top twenty teams during the entire season. That's exactly half the season playing top twenty teams and more than a third playing top ten teams.

ND played 2 top ten teams (counting Bama) and 3 top twenty teams. They also played one less game because they are not in a conference and they had no conf. championship game.

We all know that being popular or classy doesn't win games, ND is proof of that. Being from Bama I can say that we don't want to be classy or popular, we'll leave that to those folks up north, we just want to win. Football is a tough physical game and you can't be nice and classy as such and win consistantly. Without ND's rich and influential alumni they would not have been there. And since when is Alabama a popular place that is known for wealthy and influential alumni? Uhhh never. They're like Kentucky and Mississippi, pretty much at the bottom of every barrel. Now two of those states are national champions and I'm so proud of that.

It doesn't matter what system is used, the best teams will adjust and win and be champions. As far as the Bama loyal fans are concerned, just man up and play football. When you lose just say "I lost and it's no one's fault but mine." If you beat us then celebrate and have a good time, you've done something that a lot of people have never done.

Ton's of teams have done it, just not recently since Nick Saban has been there. I don't know if you have noticed, but upsets happen in the NCAA tourney all the time. In a one-and-done situation, you have no idea how Alabama, or any other team would have done. In a popularity contest, we will never find out.

As far as schedule goes, did Alabama play anybody away from home? Did you really bring up Michigan? The team that couldn't even win the lowly Big Ten? I would love to see Bama's defense play someone with an offense, because the offense in the SEC are not good. Florida was ranked 3rd in the BCS and their offense was ranked in the 100's. Louisville was pretty weak on defense and the Gator offense struggled against them.

To end this, I believe Bama was the best team in the country, but I would love to see them against Oregon or even KSU. And don't overlook Notre Dame's record, they went on the road at USC and Oklahoma and won. They earned there way there as much as Alabama did under the current screwed up system.

Last but not leats, this is not an SEC dominance deal, it is a Crimson Tide/Nick Saban deal. They just happen to play in the SEC.

Oh I'm sorry I forgot that ND played Michigan too and won by a score of 13-6. That's is a defense really dominating an offense. It makes Alabama's 41-14 win over the same team look deplorable. And how how could I forget ND's dominating wins over Navy and Boston College, how many schools could do that? Those three ND opponents alone had a combined record of 18-20. Yep, ND deserved to be #1. What was I thinking? And Bama's sub-par defense did allow #1 ND's highly praised offense to score a full 14 points in the championship game, that is a bad defense if there ever was one. Like I said, any system they want to employ is fine and playing in the SEC is an asset if you can dominate the teams in the most dominate conference. To be the best you have beat the best so bring it on, we're not shaking. Oh yeah, didn't Bama used to have another coach called Bear Bryant or something like that. I heard he was a descent coach too. I think he may be responsible for a few of the 16 Bama championships that Saban didn't win in his deal. I will say the championship game should have been #1 Alabama vs #2 Oregon. At least the #1 team wouldn't have been a 10 point dog to the #2 team.

On another note, Notre Dame has joined the ACC in all sports except football and hockey. But they did agree to play five football games against those powerhouse ACC football teams. My apologies Florida St. and Clemson, you do have very respectable football programs, I hope you both get a shot at ND.

See ya in Pasadena next year.

Louisville joins the ACC in 2014 and I can't wait. I hopre we get a shot at Notre Dame, even if it is a road game.

You sure did a good job of twisting words in your response. I didn't say Alabam was never good before, evidently you decided to read it that way. I was only reffering to the fact that Alabama winning is not because they are in the SEC, it is totally unrelated.

I also find it humorous that you took a shot at Notre Dame's schedule. Them and Bama played virtually the same schedule. Bama's schedule was ranked 19th and Notre Damed's was 21st. The Tide's schedule strength was 75.94 and the Irish was 75.83.

    C'mon guys...

She wasn't that hot. You just were not expecting the focus to continually be on an attractive girl in the stands. See her in a club or somewhere and she wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb I guarantee it.

They're all over college campuses and major metropolitan areas around the nation. In the county where I work - OK - not so much!
