A lot of debate can be made all over sports. Who's team is better, which player is better and so on but when it comes to College Football the SEC is the best conference year in and year out hands down. The Oregon Ducks are loaded with talented underclass men look like the only team that might derail the SEC from the National Title in the near future
I'm sure the fact that the SEC has been dominating the championships had alot to do with the playoff system that's coming in a few years.
i know the talk was already there but I believe it was accelerated by having two SEC teams playing for the championship.
This ain't even a game...
ROLL **** TIDE!
Purdue grad here and thus I just can't root for the Irish. ROLL TIDE!!
Bama Baby, Bama grad here. 28-zip at half time. RollTide!!
Funny thing is when the "play-off" system begins you might have two teams from the SEC playing for a national championship for many years to come.
The last time I saw an azz whipping this bad was the 2009 Billy Westmorland Tourney!!!
If Dandy Don Meredith was alive he would have been singing for somebody to turn out the lights the party's over at the end of the first quarter
Agreed, if it was an eight team playoff this year at least 5 and maybe 6 of those teams would be SEC; Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Texas A&M are definite and probably S. Carolina. Notre Dame, Oregon and maybe Kansas St. would be the others. Oregon would have been the only non SEC team with a chance to make it to the final game but they could not have held up against Bama or Georgia in the later stages of a game.
I was nervous for the longest time that Bama would have to play Georgia in the final. From what I saw of their play they were the only team who could had beaten Bama in a Nat'l Championship game.
RollTide!!
I completely disagree, that is just more hype. There is no way five teams from the SEC would have been in an 8 team playoff. LSU and Florida both lost their bowl games against teams they were heavily favored over. Georgia was taken to the wire. What we might see in a playoff, something that could easily happen yet people don't want to think about, is in a playoff, you might have no teams from the SEC in the championship. This is something we have no way of knowing, but I sure wish it was settled on the field.Agreed, if it was an eight team playoff this year at least 5 and maybe 6 of those teams would be SEC; Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Texas A&M are definite and probably S. As for teams in the future, you better watch out for USC in a couple of years. There recruiting is through the roof lately. They had 13 future players in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl including a stud quarterback.

The 6 teams I mentioned had a pre-bowl record of 69-12. 8 of the 12 losses were to other SEC teams. In a eight team playoff system the SEC bowl losses would not exist. As far as the future goes, Bama's OL and DL is socked full of younger players and no one can say they did not deliver this year. Think of the potential of what those young players can develop into besides what McCarron is capable of becoming in the next two years. Add in the DE and RB recruits and receiver Robert Foster that Saban has coming on line next year and the only thing that can slow Bama down is to start making them play on Sundays. On yeah, 16 of the 19 Bama Nat'l Championships were pre-BCS, so bring on the playoff system, it won't change a thing. By the way, how many ND players stayed on the ground for a while after a play. I don't think I would tick off either line by intentionaly hurting McCarron. Here's what can happen to you, Alabama @ Missouri 2012 Football - Bama Player body slams Mizzou Player - YouTube And that's with a 32 point lead.
As of now, there are three levels of NCAA Div 1 football 1. Alabama 2. SEC 3. Everyone else
Did you by chance look at those out of conference games? I haven't but I do know that traditionally, the SEC teams play nobody out of conference. Who did "Bama play OOC? I know they played WKU and I think the played Louisiana Monroe. Not really a powerhouse of OOC opponents. LSU last year actually grew a set and went on the road at WVU and I believe Oregon. They played decent teams, that is far from the norm in the SEC. EXACTLY THE REASON THERE NEEDS TO BE A PLAYOFF. You can start the season ranked #1, avoid playing anybody outside your conference and play for the national title. That is why the college football post season is a joke. It is a popularity contest and has nothing to do with settling it on the field. The 6 teams I mentioned had a pre-bowl record of 69-12. 8 of the 12 losses were to other SEC teams. BTW, I believe that video is typical of SEC football. Saw it from Florida a few times recently as well. Keep it classy SEC.
