On another note, did you see McCarron's girlfriend? Holy smokes, it is a good gig being the qb for the Tide!
LOL, Read above posts, me, Jim and I'm sure Don are still drooling..................Gorgeous girl, drop dead, Yum....

Oregon would have been the only non SEC team with a chance to make it to the final game but they could not have held up against Bama or Georgia in the later stages of a game.

I was nervous for the longest time that Bama would have to play Georgia in the final. From what I saw of their play they were the only team who could had beaten Bama in a Nat'l Championship game.

    RollTide!!
I completely disagree, that is just more hype. There is no way five teams from the SEC would have been in an 8 team playoff. LSU and Florida both lost their bowl games against teams they were heavily favored over. Georgia was taken to the wire. What we might see in a playoff, something that could easily happen yet people don't want to think about, is in a playoff, you might have no teams from the SEC in the championship. This is something we have no way of knowing, but I sure wish it was settled on the field.

As for teams in the future, you better watch out for USC in a couple of years. There recruiting is through the roof lately. They had 13 future players in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl including a stud quarterback.

I can't believe nobodys made mention of Mccarron getting up in Barret Jones' grill, then nearly getting knocked back on his rump....Never a smart idea to get on your O line like that, especially with a lead like that or one play they might just say OLAY and let a 300lb D lineman smack ya in the chops....Jones is a future NFL lineman without a doubt and should have turned around and picked mccarron up and slammed him down, that would have made for some good TV

I watched that and just wrote it off to emotions during a Championship game. They apologized and it was all good once the game was over. Now if they were losing and that happened it would have been better TV. JMO.

Wow my hat is off, Bama is a great college football team. I was impressed as all get out of that Lacy, he's a horse with cat like moves.

Also the highlight of the game for me was the constant sideline panning of McCarron's girlfriend.....
DANG DANG.................DANG, Hot is not strong enough.................DANG

Jim wasn't trying to copycat, just seeing your post, LOL. Great minds think alike bro. Beautiful girl.....
No sweat brother, saying the obvious again doesn't hurt anything. TimT said it too, so it MUST be true.

I heard she went from 30k tweet followers to 90k over night. Some big time athletes trying to steal her away.

Bama's O line root hogs helped Lacy and Yeldon dominate, and McCarron played as good as I've ever seen him play. Every time ND locked in on the run, Bama would sting them with a pass play. I don't think ND had been hit with a sledgehammer like that this season, and it showed.

I jumped out of my seat on Lacy's spin move when he had 3 defenders converging on him near the goal line. Sick, just plain sick.

Saban said he'd be happy for a couple of days, and it's back to work for next season. Dang dude you already had a thousand gallons of gatorade dumped on you coaching in college, splurge and take 3 or 4 days off.

And how about McCarron's girlfriend? Dayum son!

If they'd just kept the camera on her during the entire half time show, the TV ratings would've gone up 10 points.
You speak the truth man!! Lacy was awesome!!! Man BAMA has a way with RB's. They produce monsters in that position and of course that means the O line is the best as well. I have said it before and I don't care which team or which sport......I love watching hard work and talent coming together into near perfection and at times BAMA was perfect!!!
When I see a female look as good as McCarron's girl I always have to remember uhhhh....my mind went blank! Hahaha she was a hottie

She had 2,000 twitter followers before the game and was up to 175,000 by 6pm Tuesday night. Which was over 50,000 more followers than her boyfriend McCarron. But remember boys the old WKQQ promo "it doesn't matter how good she looks, somebody's tired of putting up with her crap"

The 6 teams I mentioned had a pre-bowl record of 69-12. 8 of the 12 losses were to other SEC teams. In a eight team playoff system the SEC bowl losses would not exist. As far as the future goes, Bama's OL and DL is socked full of younger players and no one can say they did not deliver this year. Think of the potential of what those young players can develop into besides what McCarron is capable of becoming in the next two years. Add in the DE and RB recruits and receiver Robert Foster that Saban has coming on line next year and the only thing that can slow Bama down is to start making them play on Sundays. On yeah, 16 of the 19 Bama Nat'l Championships were pre-BCS, so bring on the playoff system, it won't change a thing. By the way, how many ND players stayed on the ground for a while after a play. I don't think I would tick off either line by intentionaly hurting McCarron. Here's what can happen to you, Alabama @ Missouri 2012 Football - Bama Player body slams Mizzou Player - YouTube And that's with a 32 point lead.

As of now, there are three levels of NCAA Div 1 football 1. Alabama 2. SEC 3. Everyone else
