If this has already been mentioned I'm sorry to bring it back up, but I did not see it in this thread. I do not remember reading about it or hearing about it at the time, but you people probably remember better than I do. I hate to think this would even be possible but who knows. According to some information I came across the police and National Guard seized guns during Hurricane Katrina and this was done on orders of the New Orleans mayor not the POTUS. There were no warrants or court orders, just the mindless following of orders. What do you think would happen if the POTUS ordered it. Check it out on Youtube, under Katrina and gun seizure, and before anyone says that you cannot believe it because some of the videos are from the NRA, see the link below from the television news. Apparently the law and the National Guard were not upholding the constitution there. To me this is just crazy, police and the National Guard entering homes in the US with guns raised at the ready.
