I dont think that was a very smart thing for the VP to say but he has said inappropriate things before hasnt he? Dont worry folks he will not ban handguns or rifles for sure. JMO.

Also, not picking on you, because your comment is similar to how a lot of folks down here think when it comes to guns...but "machine guns" aren't the issue on this deal at all. Fully automatic weapons have been banned from the general population for a long long time, without certain permits and licenses. Most folks just don't have a clue what the difference between machine gun, automatic weapon, assault rifle, etc even is.
