The ironic part of this entire discussion is, Biden never did what the title of the thread says he did.

"Assault" weapons will be banned by executive order
Large Clips will be banned by executive order
Certain Handguns will be banned by executive order

Multiple types of ammunition will be banned by executive order

Obama's too smart to commit political suicide. He may be a lame duck but he is smart enough to know the above would hand the next election to the GOP. His "action" will be regarding issues primarily around the fringes--background checks and gun shows and possibly private sales of firearms.

I think a ban on (new) Manufacturing of Hi-cap mags and AR-15 type rifles will be coming as well. Those two things are what alot of misinformed people want.
Most likely the existing millions and millions of mags already out there will be ok. I'm hoping the ones that are already manufactured will be ok as well.
Just curious when we are gonna hear from the Mexican president? You know the one that said we have to ban/restrict our weapons to help him govern his country??? I'm not quoting just going on memory. Ya see this upcoming order would also help the attorney general with his "fast and furious" campaign to run illegal guns to Mexico that got him in hot water. We will see.

Well they've floated their first trial balloon on the executive order topic. Even milder than I predicted.

"The executive actions could include giving the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authority to conduct national research on guns, more aggressive enforcement of existing gun laws and pushing for wider sharing of existing gun databases among federal and state agencies, members of Congress in the meeting said."

Sharing state databases on gun owners between each other and Feds is fine with me. That link wasn't as bad as I thought but it was just talk. The final decision is what matters. It's political so it will have alot of twists and turns.
