I'm not sold on term limits. Call me cynical, but I think that would just put more pressure on them to get their bribes and kickbacks quickly, knowing they won't be re-elected.

Hmmm...I have actually never heard anybody try and make that point... It would probably be tough finding many folks who would agree with you but then you never know.

You're probably right. I guess there is no solution.

Doubtful......most of the relationships built by these politicians took YEARS. Sometimes the benefit of a vote doesn't come around for 6 mos to a year.

NO, I think term limits, would to a lot.

BUT a better fix would be 2 terms and NO benefits and NO pension. I cannot believe these fools can serve 2 terms and then get their salary for life AND health care for LIFE.......

Not to mention an office in DC for LIVE..........holy hell.

NOT a bad racket.....maybe I need to run for Congress.

Because the BEST man now has become the one with the MOST money. Look at races around the country. In most cases, the one with the most money spent won.

That is not always the case, but it usually is.

On top of that, the lifetime politicians are ruining the country. If we could effectively implement term limits, that would make a huge difference.......

How in the he-double-hockey-sticks did you and I get on the same page... No term limits might be the one worst disease our government has... Money has bought our government and it is doubtful we will ever be able to get it back.

LOL... I don't have a doubt, I have a couple of buds that are about as far away from me as you are but we have a rule...no politics, religion or relationship talk, we can talk about women but none that either of us know.... I guess we have to keep that rule beings we are in such a small space and running away just isn't an option.
