Fast attacking virus

Ok I'm no doc but let me tell you this...yesterday morning I woke up feeling weak and a little under the weather. A few hours later I was sure I was sick and headed home from work. Several hours later and after several trips to the bathroom I'm totally jacked up sick! I mean full blown fever, stuff coming out both ends and just wiped out. I sweated so much and felt so bad all I could do was lay there and pray for sleep. Last night was the worst...I had a sweatshirt on, a thick hoodie over that and sweat pants on and was still freezing. I jumped in bed and put TWO comforters on the bed and a space heater in my bedroom just to help take the chill out of me. I really can't remember having such chills/fever.
Woke up this morning feeling ok but very very weak. Went to work because I have to pay the bills but came back after an hour or so. I feel ok but man whatever I had ran through me quick!!!! Anyone else have this 24-36 hour bug? It's a tough little bugger.

A lot of people I know have something that is the opposite of that. In other words, it comes on slow and they can't shake it. My wife has been sick for a weak and a half. She was almost better and then it came right back. Sore throat, headache, chills, etc. There are people here at work that have been sick just as long.

Hope you guys get them when they ask you to. I've been a believer in those things ever since I got them in the service. keep on m off springs to do so. One is a teacher, and its required. the other is a lab supervisor and also a requirement.Well worth the money[free in my case]. Got a good story about it, but wont bother you with it.

sounds like you caught the 24hr flu. Hits hard and fast, lots of diarrhea and vomiting then its gone. The weakness your having is from lack of fluids. Drink a few cups of a sports drink and 1 cup of water, I think its like 3:1 ratio. Once you get your fluids back up try and eat some soup. Should be good to go!

Thanks man, I think your right. From what I can figure that's what it was. I guess the bright side is I didn't plan on fishing this weekend so I'm not missing out in that!

I got lucky enough to acquire both this year. I had the 24hr deal, felt awful but was over it quick. Then i got the sickness that set in for about 3 weeks. The longer one i could work with and got lucky enough to catch the short one on a weekend. Hoping ive had my fair share and im over it for the yeAr

What my wife has isn't the flu. In fact, the doctor didn't even put her on antibiotics.

I think the flu shot is a scam anyway.
