I'll have to do some research and see what depth information we can find for those lakes. If I can find something I'll get it in the map for you.

Sounds great
see if these help. they are from the hot spots map.
more.
I've kinda figured out how to use this mapping service.
It is a very nice and useful tool. But I have some questions now.
What's the latest on McAlpine Lock?
Whenever I try to pull up the historic/abandoned points I get the following:
Firefox:
Chrome:
I have tried it in both current versions of firefox and chrome.
I love this mapping software and I am interested to see what you guys have to offer in the mobile department.
Please keep updating new maps in Kentucky.
Also any suggestions on how to do better research on a stream?
Thanks and I know this post is probably jumbled,

We're working on McAlpine. I've found some information - just waiting on the government to release it to us to see how useful it might be. Unfortunately I can't control how fast they respond. We're probably a week or so out from having that information.
If you ever see pink in the map it's bad. It means something is broken, in this case the historic points. I'll have my guys get that fixed.
Mobile wise - our site works on all mobile browsers with a data connection. It should automatically zoom to your location but you can click the Locate button if it does not. We're working on some offline options for mobile too.
Streams - I flip between different types of imagery (Maps -> Choose Base Map), I also use the USGS Topo maps a lot (Maps -> Free Features -> Check Topo Maps) - you need to be zoomed out a bit to get full use of that map information.
What kind of stream information do you want?
More maps for Kentucky lakes are coming. I should have Barren River soon.
Brian
We now have contours for Barren River and McAlpine Dam. Shaded depth is coming for both.
Note that on our maps Bing, Google, and NAIP all show Barren with water levels above pool so adjust accordingly when viewing the depth data.
