where to mount new SI DI Gps depth finder

I mostly crappie fish, going to get into spider rigging. but also striper and bass fish some. Where should I mount this unit, at the wheel or upfront on trolling motor? I also have a good color 5 inch depth finder on trolling motor already.

I don't think you can put a SI DI transducer on a trolling motor. When the trolling motor turns the whole field of view will turn with it.

    Personally

I'd put it at the trolling motor & move the other unit to console if it had gpd or just get rid of it. If I was buying a si di unit the trolling motor is exactly where I'd mount it. If your unit is a new Humminbird they did have a deal where you could call them if you haven't installed the transducer & they'll give you a ticket number & you box them up with a note & ship it to them & they'll swap it out for a trolling motor transducer. I know I did & couldn't be happier with my 798 ci si.
