There is a little ice in the backs of the bays on Patoka.
Had to get out today so I hit a beaver den with a friend. Didn't get a hit. There was one boat at Lickfork ramp.
The water at Lickfork looked good and the lake is at summer pool.
Thank you.
I know somebody is fishing this weekend, so report back![]()
Got out to a little lake by the house today and managed to catch two. In those two there was quite a bit of excitement. Very first cast nailed a 2.20 lber. Little bandit 200 did the trick on that one. Fished for about 2.5 more hours without a bite then while using a black and blue jig with hyper freak trailer caught my biggest bass of my life by around 1 oz. It weighed a healthy 5.82 lbs. Awesome day to be fishing and cant wait for the warmer temps!![]()
I did get out on Geist for a couple hours Sunday morning. Had to clear the ramp of debris and there wasn't much water that wasn't iced over but managed to get a couple hours of fishing in. Did get 2 that were close to keepers and a really nice crappie.
Put the boat in for the first time this year on Patoka. Wind was brutal. Not one hit. Still felt good to be on the water.
Went yesterday and absolutely slayed them. Over 50 fish in 4 hours. Mostly shorts and dinks but 6-7 good keepers. Great to get out and get into them!
NICE! now if I only had enough money to fill my truck and boat tanks up and go fishin! thats alot of dough!
