I would hardly call what you state in regards to politics "keeping it real". You seem to read something on the internet or hear it on the news and think it's true. Now if you are meaning to disinform people, then you are winning my friend, and I will call you Charlie.
Yes fascism used nationalism as a unifier. However, fascism actually operated upon the idea of social darwinism, in which the strongest survive, and promoted those individuals. In terms of economics, unions were BROKEN up, and then the strongest businessman excelled. Fascist governments wanted large businesses, and actually ENCOURAGED private profit. They simply required that those profits were from an activity that served the national interest. They also believed in class collaboration, in which unequal classes are seen as a POSITIVE thing. Now, I'm sure you are going to go find some more sources defending your point. I will agree with you that fascism is collectivism in some areas, I was wrong in stating that it absolutely wasn't. Truth is, a single, short definition of fascism like you provided from the dictionary is not accurate and is way too narrow. It is way more complicated than that. But lumping fascism with socialism and communism is not correct, and that was the poor-attempt at a point I was trying to make in the beginning. Don't let me ruffle your feathers too much!OK.....
How about this......From the Dictionary......Is that good enough.
Fascism:
a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition....
Collectivism:
: a political or economic theory advocating collective control especially over production and distribution; also : a system marked by such control
2
: emphasis on collective rather than individual action or identity
Hey, isn't that exactly opposite of what you said, about individualism. I guess the one who needs to be edjumacated is YOU.
And just in case you forgot what you wrote about fascism 20 minutes ago.
FIRST: I lumped fascism into collectivism because that is EXACTLY what it is.
Better you go educate yourself.......I took one side of fascism in my example, which is STILL CORRECT.
Second: Everyone knows I'm a conservative, right winger. By responding to MY POST with your ******** regarding fascism, you were directing the comments at me......like it or not.

Look.......I was lumping communism, fascism, socialism, and OBAMUNISM all together, and BFS........BAD blankety blankety ****.Yes fascism used nationalism as a unifier. AND I stated they were all based in collectivism. WHICH THEY ARE.
I'm done with it.
Its ok that you are wrong. And you can be done with it. That is fine. Just keep spewing your political bs. You should be a poitician!
Yea......Here is a tit for tat news article.
Repub. Corker second guesses the use of drones in targeting terroists. Says it makes Muslims mad (no shehite). Then goes on to say we should remain in Afganistan (unarmed I guess).
I guess he would rather place troops in harms way, with hands tied.

It is funny how much the left DRILLED Bush on stuff like Guantanimo, Rendition, FISA, Patriot Act, and DRONE Kills, yet Obama pretty much gets a pass on all of it.
Don't EVEN try to convince me that Obama catches 1/100th of the **** Bush did over this stuff.
well he's black, so they can't, because then it is racist. the liberals just scream louder than conservatives when they are upset about the president.
