To me the grass is great for the food chain and I love fishing grass anyway. I realize people who live on the lake don't really like it being so matted up but I don't live on it so to me it's awesome. When the grass is young/submergent in the spring the fishing was always great. I hope it gets a chance to do that again before they spray or toss chemicals on it.

hey no problam man....not too many people fish beaver, and me personally i love to use it as a practice lake....during the spring and summer that lake stays pretty clear (unless you get a few rainy day prior to fishing)...so i've always done well with more natural colors whether jiggin, crankin or otherwise. and keep in mind thats a watershed lake i do believe..so you dont have to deal much with water fluctuation which is a plus....and just a little advice here....if you dont have a depth\fish finder....bass pro shop carries a portable hummingbird that runs around a 100 bucks....you wont be getting any down imaging or anything like that but it works very well determing water depths, temps, and locating schools of shad. hope this helps you out a little bit!
