My best friend has what his doctors described as pretty sever case of Parkinson's. He had an operation where they inserted something in his brain that gives off electrical charges that help to control it better. That operation helped him tremendously, there is a noticeable difference. If it starts to get bad you may want to look into that as an option.

I know it is a cliche, but try and not let it get you down. You will be in my prayers.

I appreciate it. One thing I have hated the last 10 years is not having a definite answer or ending to all I have been thru. At least I do with Parkinson's

This is going to stink. Dropped 2 bowls, a pan of biscuits and 2 glasses today. Not going to enjoy these sudden uncontrollable impulses that my hands twitch and open.

Don't take Parkinson's Disease as the death knell for your activity. My husband has had it since he was 37 years old and it just reached a certain point and stopped getting worse. He now has only light tremors in his hands UNLESS he gets into a very stressful situation and then the tremors get worse. When the stress calms down, so do the tremors. He is still working full-time at the present. My brother-in-law's mother had it for many years and it was only in her head which made it bobble left to right. Her hands were as steady as a rock and she worked in a factory for about 30 years.

I know that dropping items and making a mess is agravating but believe, with all your heart, that your disease will stabilize and get better. As your health gets better maybe the Parkinson's will diminish. Praying that you will get well soon and you will enjoy the upcoming fishing season.

Went to the Neurologist yesterday and he can't even give any medication to help because of the 3 he wanted to, they all don't jive with some of the 12 meds I am on now. He will have to get with my surgeon to see if he can move me off the conflicting meds to something else so I can get the 3 prescribed. I sure am glad I am a healthy 21 yr old full of piss and vinegar and not some sick s.o.b

I guess on the bright side, I could become the greatest Jerkbait fisherman this side of KVD in a few years.

Elnut my fishing buddy has Parkinson I keep trying to get him to do the shaky head jig thing.

We were fishing last fall and I put cream in my coffee but I did not have a spoon so I had him hold my cup for a minute. He told me I was taking advantage of him.

Bug, Parkinsons? Or you mean one of the various neuralogical diseases that causes tremmers? I have never heard of anyone who had Parkinsons where the disease ever stablized or got better.
