Rough river crappie report.

Fished today and battled this cold weather. I talked to a guy that was bass fishing and he said the bass were biting good. I also talked to a guy that was crappie fishing and he claimed to be doing really good using minnows. We used jigs and caught around a dozen today with only 2 keepers. All were caught off of brush in 4 ft of water or deeper. The water temp was 40.

Also one of the keepers had a huge stomach. So what do you think, has she been eating good or do you think we could have a early spawn?

Sounds like to me, if the weather plays out. The last week of March will be really good. But good weather never happens in the spring time! lol
