Welcome to the board. Guist Creek Lake and Taylorsville Lake come to mind, along with Beaver Lake past Lawrenceburg, as well as the KY River. No walleye lakes close, closest either Green River or Cumberland.

Was wondering if anyone knew of fishing spots near versailles. Bank or stream fishing. I like walleye and trout fishing mostly, but wouldn't mind taking my son to catch some cats or gills, crappies. Also are there any maps for lex/versailles area. I heard you could possibly get one from the ky dnr. A guy at a bait store also mentioned a good walleye lake in kentucky. Any info passed on would be greatly appreciated.

Laurel has walleye too don't forget.
The closest option for you is the Woodford Fishing lake on Big Sink. It is a members only lake but the annual meeting is coming up and you can submit your application for membership. My buddy is on the board and I would be more than happy to have them mail you a copy if you want. Just pm me your info. Your other close options are the KY river, Guist Creek (Shelbyville), Beaver lake or Taylosville (Lawrenceburg), etc. There are many good options within an hours drive. Good luck
If you are looking for a stream to wade south elkhorn is your best bet. You won't find any walleye or trout but the smallmouth and redeye fishing is awesome. The Anderson county park has a fins pond that is stocked with trout a few times a year and it is only a 15 minute drive from Versailles. Check fish & wild web site for stocking dates. If you have a boat there are about 20 places less than hour away to go fishing. Was wondering if anyone knew of fishing spots near versailles. Bank or stream fishing.
