Ask that to 100 different fisherman and you'll probably get 100 different answers. I'd fish the warmest water I could find and try different lures and presentations till I found something that worked.Ok guys im never been much of a bass fisherman. but with a couple of nice days coming im going out with a friend to do some fishing. what are some good lures to use this time a year, colors, presentation, depth etc any advice would be good. ill be fishing a smaller lake.
100% agreed with sweetwater...everybody likes throwing different things throughout the year...different conditions can have variable amounts of lures\presentations to use.bass fishing is a tough gig, challenging but very rewarding as well...but with that said....me personally, if i was to head out in the next week or so...i'd stay as much to the main lake as possible targeting areas with quick deep water access with some structure around it (standup, laydowns, etc...) ....i'd slow work a crank bait along any drops or use some plastics\jigs to target isolated laydown\stickup areas.....but thats just me, i'm sure some others could give you some great info\advice as well..........with whatever you choose to do, let the fish be the ultimater decider....whatever they seem to want...give it to them!!![]()
