Clarksville Bass Pro Shop This Weekend

Anyone going there for the Spring Fishing Classic? I have a gift card to use and am thinking of going Friday evening.

Alert on Basspro shopping for Spring Classic

I don't know if it's just for their spring sale and /or if you have to use a BP credit card but they are giving you a $10.00 BassPro gift card if you spend over $100.00. The card cannot be used that same day and expires March 17th.

The cashier just let me know and explained the card parameters to me.

Knute (The Heathen) and I met up at the store and upon exiting I asked him if he had spent $100.00 He had, and the cashier said nothing to him about this $10.00 gift card. He immediately went back inside with his receipt (I stood guard over his shopping cart outside) and a manager then filled out his gift card. A couple other customers in Knute's line also did not receive a card. The manager was courteous and professional and apologized for the oversight. Poor training on the cashier's part??

So, HEADS UP!! If you spend $100.00 be sure and ask before you leave the checkout about the free $10.00 gift card.

I love myself so much that the majority of my purchase was for an auto/manual life vest. The one I had is so old that I don't know if it will even inflate. It was the manual type and I just don't trust it anymore.

I even treated Knute (The Heathen) to a beer and some wings after shopping. Heck, he should have paid since I got him a $10.00 gift card!! (He treated last time.)

Good info. If it applies, also make sure you tell them and show them military active, reserve, retired, or disable vet id cause you get another 10% off. $10 off a $100 dollar purchase gets me a Maker's on the Rocks and quiets my knees down after walking in the store all day.

Follow up on $10.00 gift card.

The info is on the back page of the "Daily Specials" section. You do have to use a Bass Pro Shops Visa card.

Got home about an hour ago from Bass Pro Shop. I didn't see the crowd there that I expected to see but that was fine as it made it easier to navigate through the aisles.
So, I go over to where KVD is standing at the end of the reel counter and this is how our conversation went:
KVD: "Hey, it's good to see you"
    Me: "Good to see you"
KVD: "So, tell me what baits you would throw at KY Lake next month"
I tell him and you can see the wheels turning in his head.
KVD: "If that is what you plan to throw then I know to throw the opposite. Thanks for your help"
Me: "No problem, that's what I'm here for"

KVD, Tim Horton and Jacob Wheeler were all good fellas. I didn't get a chance to talk to Roumbanis. When KVD was doing his seminar and demonstration at the fish tank he caught a bass not once but twice. He tells the crowd it's okay because, "I know a guy". If you have seen the commercial for Bass Pro then you will understand it. Anyway, the crowd laughed and cheered him. The pros were great the way they worked with their fans. They were all very patient with each and every one of them whether it was for pictures or questions.
Zona will be there tomorrow (Saturday).

I was there yesterday and met Zona. He's a very nice guy - seems a little over the top on his fishing show, but was very friendly and seemed interested in talking with us.
