Depends on whether you want glass, graphite, etc. I would go with a quantum kvd rod. I like them, and if it's good enough for him, it is good enough for me.

Anyone mind telling me what kind of cranking rod they would get if spending $80-$150? Looking at something around 7' M with a decent warranty. Posted on KY Board and didnt get many replies.

I have the Skeet Reese cranking rod and have no problems with it and it is $89. Dicks has a promo going next week buy a Skeet Reese rod get a Skeet Reese reel free. I have a reel also and it is a pretty decent reel for the price range they are in.
Rick Clunn Glass Crankin Rod on sale for 65 bucks on tacklewarehouse.com. I own the deep crank and it performs well outside of its price range.
I would go with a Denali Jadewood. They have a great warranty and are a well made rod.
