Is it best to go I-24 out of Nashville or I-65 all the way down?

I-24 to South Pittsburg exit and keep trucking until you start seeing water.

I can get to the State Park there in about six hours more or less and I go down I-65.

Roger that.......^^ Its one of the reasons I like the lake so much , Good roads all the way to the lake. Not a bad trip at all from the Louisville area especially considering the quality of the bass there.

I prefer to take I-65 through Nashville then cut across I-24 towards Chattanooga over Mount Eagle to South Pittsburgh exit take that into Scottsboro you'll pass Crow Creek, Mud Creek, Town Creek before you get into Scottsboro I live in Louisville it takes me 4.5-5 hrs to get there

Ditto here, just avoid the I-65 rush hour traffic in Nashville if you can. Nice and easy driving all the way after that.
