I just love the smugness of how they present this: "It’s understandable that now with Islamists having come to the fore after all the hope that the Egyptian uprising inspired, American policymakers are looking for the good guys, real liberal activists that deserve U.S. support. Samira Ibrahim is not one of them."
So, the fact that she "rallied worldwide attention against forced "virginity tests" on female protesters" makes her a "liberal activist?" Just what, pray tell, is the conservative view on this issue? Forced virginity tests are okay?
And for the record, yes, the State Department was derelict in not checking her background before now.
Where is the outrage? Well, most of mine is being used up over the economy. And frankly, I just don't carry as much with me as I used to, and I think I'm better for it.
