Does Guntersville get as rough as KY Lake?

I've never been to Ky on a windy day but a strong wind from the south to southwest on G-ville will make waves in the 2' to 3' range. If there's a lot of water being pulled and a strong south to southwest wind there could be a few 4 footers out there. As long as you run fast enough to stay on top of the waves and don't try to zig zag or make a move that'll put you in a trough you should be fine. Just make sure your bilge pump works before you go out.

I have a small bassboat and while I would not venture out of the creeks on KY Lake when it is windy I would not have a problem doing so on Guntersville.
