    Looking for something to do

    Hey guys looking for something to do if the rain holds up in the morning. I was wondering if any fish biten anywhere I saw the thread about salt river crappie wouldn't mind some crappie! If you guys got any good ideas of a place to go to thatd be great! I have one more question I was looking over Craigslist and found these rods and reels in the picture below he didn't give to much info but i know there penn any other info on then and if I should purchase them or not would be great thanks guys, good luck to ya!

    don't know bout the fishin, bit those rods and reels look like light salt water tackle .......JMO

    I can't see the numbers on the reels, but you can check on ebay under trolling reels and get an idea what they are and price of them. ebay has a lot of penn reels for sale. if you haven't already bought them, check out [ Northwoods wholesale outlet } they have new line counter reels Okuma dx 15 for 28.00 each. good reels for trolling cranks for crappie. I bought 3 for 99.00 shipped to my front door.Click image for larger version.

    There is some great fishing to be had with many species living in the salt. There is a public ramp at the hotel at shepherdsville and I 65 and plenty of private places to put in if you can get permission. I would think it may be up and rolling a bit with the rain we have had as of late. Good luck and wear your life jackets . Here are a few from the last time I went to the salt. We let the Largemouth and spotted bass swim and fried the whites. Click image for larger version.
