    That is one statement disagree with all day long. It sounds good until science proves something against what the current trend is. Then most liberals it seems call anyone who disagrees with them "uneducated" or "Ignorant".

    The problem is that the GOP as a party tends to ignore, and even openly discourage, any advances in science or the teaching thereof. A great example of that is the fact that the Texas GOP wrote this little gem into their 2012 platform (accent mine):

    "We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority."

    They came right out and said it. Challenging a student's fixed beliefs is a bad thing, according to them. That is classic Republicanism, and classic conservativism, rolled into one.
