Paperwork being done, discharged in about 30 mins
Thats what I like to hear. And Parker, I have fished in a boat with both of them and its not as much fun as you might think. HAHA. Just kidding guys. Take it easy Woody and we will be back on the lake soon.
My wife just got back with the 7 new prescriptions that they have put me on. Mind you I was already taking 36 pills a day over 8 prescriptions before. Add in another 22 pills to total 58 pills a day over 15 prescriptions. Pretty much taking pills 6 times a day between 6-14 each time. How in the world does anyone know how these 15 prescriptions will interact with each other? I am already regretting this regimen.
pm with a list of what you take and I'll tell you if they interact. I'm a pharmacist at a small hospital in Indiana. Totally up to you but I'll offer if you're overly concerned.
I'm not a prescription drug expert but I find it HIGHLY unlikely that all those pills can work with each other. My Dad was taking about 7 a day before he passed and when my girlfriend (RN) looked it over with her PA (sister) they found problems. We asked the doc about it and he said oops yes we need to adjust that. I would really like to know if this all works out because right now my trust in Doctors is LOW LOW LOW.
Retired pharmacist here:
Most if not all pharmacies now have computer programs that will alert when contraindicated medicines are co prescribed. Having said that, if I were you I'd take up psprowler's offer to look over your meds as a double check safety factor.
First, I appreciate Prowler looking after me and offering to help. Thanks to the rest for their concerns as well. I called my Walgreens pharmacist this morning and expressed my concern. She said that indeed there was computer software that alerts any issues but she would look at them. She just called and said everything was fine. She asked me if I had given the exact medication I was on while in the hospital? I said yes. She said that the hospital pharmacy is double checking doctor prescripts against what I am taking currently before the new scripts are given at discharge. Said that is why it is so important to tell the hospital exactly what you take when you go to hospital. So I guess I good. Will find out today or tomorrow.
A few weeks ago elwood ask me how much it cost to recarpet his Tracker. As a person that has health trouble too I`d love to do something good for once for him..If I could get a another person or a couple of people to help me from the board I will recarpet his Tracker for free! Would like to take up a collection for the carpet and glue..the total cost would run about $300.00. Would like to put it back like new with any mods that Elwood would like put in. anybody willing to give me a hand? Lets get him back on the water!
Doug
I appreciate it Doug and a very kind gesture but you don't have to do this. This board has more than helped me out plenty in the past. Please don't do this. Your health is not great and the time you spend on mine could be spent on another money making boat. Thanks again but please don't do this. I plan on getting the carpet done this fall.
