Oh I get it plenty good! Let me tell you a little story of a lady that I go to church with. She has been sick for a while now and she has medicare and her only source of income is SS. She told me this morning after she paid all her bills and what she could to doctors she had six dollars left. I know she should have saved while working is what you say! There are 330 million people in the usa and not every one of them can save like some and I just cant help it if I feel like I can pay a little more to help so be it. I cant bring myself to just say the hell with everyone less fortunate than me! I hear alot of ppl say they would rather the gov let them keep their money and save for any ailments they may have on their own. A few could but I dont think anyone here could ever save enough if you should have something drastic happen and need alot of treatment. A friend of mine had a child in icu for 2 months and that was a cool million which he could never pay in his lifetime so how would you guys go about paying for such a situation?

I have no problem with that little old lady collecting her social security and then some. She lived in a time when TIMES were good and she was PROMISED being taken care of.

I have HUGE problems paying for the welfare momma with 8 kids livin in the projects, who refuses to work, all the while laying on her back poppin out more welfare kids. White, black, yellow, purple, green, WHATEVER color....those folks DISGUST me, and we have more of those now than ever before.

THAT handout needs to end....PERIOD. I'd advocate forced sterilization in that case.....Man and WOMAN.

We have made it way too easy for people to LIVE off the system that was supposed to be a helping hand. And our current president has made the transition to welfare CRACKWHORE that much easier by extending unemployment for 3-4-5, 10, 20 years...........OK I know it has not been extended that long, but you get my drift.

We simply cannot continue down this path. When that little old woman was promised these benefits, there were 12 workers for every 1 person on Social Security. Now, we're at about 5-6 for every 1 person. That my friends is a formula for failure. Until the politicians step up and say ENOUGH, we will never fix it.

It is not rocket science.....Hell, even a CAVEMAN could understand that simple math.

    Later,

    Geo

I agree in that I feel the same way about helping others. The difference is I believe in just that, people helping other people. The government has proven itself to be highly inefficient at helping those truly in need. IHMO it it much more efficient and reliable for people to help directly, or through a good charity or local church.

It was never the responsibility or the purpose of our government to take care of individuals, and history has taught us that no matter how much money the government has thrown at poverty the problem has only expanded.

Let me ask you an honest question. Which do your truly believe would help this women more, the people of your church giving of their love, time and money directly to her, or the the people of your church each just paying a little higher taxes to the government?

Stories like that are touching but I don't care to hear about it....because they are many and we don't know the details. The Libs played those cards during their jamming of obamacare down our throats and if you remember the solution was obamacare... It's not cold hearted its just I don't trust the stories.

The promise of this new program was to fix things....so I guess those kind of stories will be few from now on. You say your willing to pay a little more huh? "A little" is relative man.
