Does anyone live around this lake? I've heard a report that there is a sign that says NO GAS ENGINES PERIOD. I've heard that you can't put a boat on the lake that has a gas engine, even if it is not in the water. Is this true?

As far as I know this is not true its been December since ive been but a few of the guys I know just went out there friday and they didnt say anything about it. I live about 8 miles from the lake (In Hodgenville) Its got alot of good fish in there if you know how to work em. We used to put in our Aluminum with a 90 and run trolling motor only.
Thanks Ben. I've got a message sent to the CO over there, hopefully he'll clear everything up completely. I was told there is a big sign with PERIOD underlined and that they were writing tickets, however, this is only hear-say. Maybe the guy is thinking of McDougal, I'm not sure. I just don't wanna make a 40 min. drive only to either turn around or be ticketed. As far as I know this is not true its been December since ive been but a few of the guys I know just went out there friday and they didnt say anything about it. Do you gotta be a member to fish it,i been wanting to try it for 3 or 4 years.rumor has it there are some lunkers in it.?
No...you dont have to be a member. When I was 10-13 years old my dad and I use to fish it every weekend for bluegill and shellcracker. Use to be some good number and size in there. Never really fished it for bass. From what I remember it had quite a bit of vegetation in it but not sure if it still does now. I'm 34 years old now so it's been a while since I've been out there. I may have to give it a try again but we sold our little john boat so it may be a little difficult launching the 20 ft ranger in there.
Been there several times in a 12ft john. from what i remember there is a sign that says " no gas motor " right by the mudslide boatramp. its easy to get a small boat in and out but i see a headache with a big rig.
caught a couple decent bass and a lot of bluegill. nice peaceful spot though.
