If you don't mind me asking, why are you giving it up?

I'm going to sell almost all my fishing tackle, sold the boat friday. Contacted a market in bowling green and they said I'd need to fill out a tax form. I asked them how could they collect taxes on stuff that has already been taxed? They may be able to do it,but said nothing gains or losses on merchandise. I called another one and they told me, you pay your rental and what you sell is yours,Didn't like the location. Anyone know if that open air market in somerset does that, and does anyone have a number for it. Thanks.I figure with what I get and a few bucks more I'll be able to go on about 5 guided trips. No more TN licenses the same for alabama.

The last time I put the boat in last year, I almost fell out of it putting it back on the trailer.I used to live in cumberland county, but with my mates health problems, and the way they screwed up the cumberland river and lake, it just got me too po ed. I thought I might like barren river lake, but thats tourny central. But it was good while it lasted.Going to be 78 in a few months, gotta quit sometimes.
Really sorry to hear that you had to do this. I remember you talking about it last year. I remember when my dad hung it up after all those years but I understood. Like I mentioned before in another post I did take him one last time and he loved it. He just didn't like getting things ready, loading and unloading the boat and that dang Florida sun is HOT!!! It gets hard to do all that stuff by yourself as you get older and as you mentioned it gets dangerous. Best of luck to you Sir...
I have almost fallen out doing the same thing, and I am just in my 50's, so you are way ahead of me.
When the weather gets warm, and if you would like to still go out sometime maybe we could try and coordinate a few hours on Barren in my boat sometime. I generally only go during the week just to avoid the crowds.
