Louisville in a cardiac classic.
I did get one of my wishes in an earlier post after Michigan destroyed VCU, I said I would like to see Michigan play Louisville. Burke and Hardaway are the best back court in the country and made VCU look silly. Michigan was the best team in the Big Ten by 2 games, a freakish loss to Penn State, a luck half court shot at Wisconsin and tip in that rolled off against IU all won't happen Monday night. Burke is the best point guard in the country and single handily beat Kansas the last 4 minutes of that game. Be nice to see the Louisville players win and the trophy to stay in Kentucky, but no way in hell do I want Pitino to win another. I will take Michigan by 8.
Worried sick over this one. That whistle was blowing like the Santa Anna winds the other night. Some deserved and alot not deserved. Siva and Deing have to show up. I will never understand why Siva presses tha issue when he know his shot isn't going in. I know you have to shoot your way out sometimes but he can beat you in other ways. Deing will struggle tonight against the Mich Bigs. Now if the bench brings it again Louisvile can certainly win this game. Burke is the best guard in the country but Smith is every bit as good as Hardaway.
Can't for the life of me understand why in state people would pull for Michigan, hating a coach isn't good enough for me. I hate Calipari more than anything that breathes air and I still pulled for Kentucky after Louisville went out last year. Kentucky hate is like Cancer there is no known cure...
Sorry Mark I just can't do it. If it helps any the same 9 yr old son of mine is a Die Hard Louisville fan with a Louisville room and all. He doesn't understand all the facts and I let him make his own decisions. At least you have him and my wife rooting for the Cards in the household pWorried sick over this one. The backcourt matchup will be a push. Frontline play and depth could be the deciding factor and the Cards have the advantage. U of L 73-69!
If the refs call the game like they should, I think Michigan has a shot. Several national media members out there today saying Louisville gets away with a ton of fouling.
I've said where I stand. I could root for Louisville - they have some very nice players, but I can't root for Pitino. I really hope he never wins another championship.
I have every intention of watching but that 9:23 tip is a bit much for ole' gramps. If I'm Michigan I don't let Siva drive he can shoot anything he wants from 15 feet and beyond. If I'm Michigan I'm sprinting back to the other side of the floor everytime in transition defense.
Tough call. Louisville looked vulnerable Saturday. Michigan plays in the big ten where a 6 or 7 minute span without a FG is mandatory in every game. If I had to bet I'd take Louisville -4.5 because even in a close game Michigan would try to extend the game which would extend a Louisville lead to 7 or 8 with free throws.
I just hope it doesn't come down to a critical officiating call in the last minute - I've had about enough of those in this particular tournament.
Who were they..show me the proof or it ain't so...Dude you have wore this out...give it a break..If the refs call the game like they should, I think Michigan has a shot. Several national media members out there today saying Louisville gets away with a ton of fouling.

Oh I bet I know...............Digger Phelps, LMAO
Jay Bilas said Louisville's defense was "organized fouling" on the radio this morning and Mike Tirico said "Louisville players wouldn't play 5-6 minutes a game in the NBA playing the way they do before they fouled out."
I'm not sure I have proof since it's on the radio, but that's what was said.
I guess they're just "haters" too, though. Nobody can ever have an opinion without an agenda, right?
Pitino's defense has been that way everywhere. I hated it at KY and I especially HATE it at Louisville........they play that way until the get into foul trouble and then cards fans BITCH and COMPLAIN about how horribly the game was called. If the refs call the game like they should, I think Michigan has a shot. Sorry boys, but Know1 is spot on in this regard.......doesn't mean I will not watch the game and root for the Cards, but they do get a way with a **** ton of stuff most teams don't.
If the game is called close, or even partially close, Louisville will foul out a few players.
Later,
geo
Well they fouled their way right into the National Frickin Championship....
SPOT ON SOME OF THAT PLAYA......LMAO
