Serious smash mouth basketball.......I really don't like the rough game though..........

I'd much rather a more refined game, where the other team simply wonders WTF happened..........

Luke Hancock played this Final Four and title game for his teammates and his dieing father. There was a great story about it yesterday. That kid was playing incredible ball. Siva played the game of his life.

Thanks guys and thanks Woody to hear you say those words are cool man, I appreciate it...

Congrats to the Cards, that was one hell of a game....From the up and down tempo to the terrible officiating both ways...From Hardaway Jr's dunk over Dieng, to Harrells alley oop....Those were the best two teams in the country without a doubt, and they proved it....Most entertaining championship game I recall watching, even better than the Memphis/KU game....Both teams showed just exactly how bad they wanted it, and both teams should hold their head high....Hancock was having an out of body experience the last two games, but what about Spike Albrecht in the first half...That game was an ESPN instant classic for sure and I'm glad I stayed up to watch it, even though I'm paying dearly for it today

Great game and I think the best team won and It was good seeing Ware cut the nets.

I thought the entire tournament was very good most games were close. Cinderella teams were Florida Gulf Coast and Wichita State who was not seeded correctly in my mind after watching the play.

    Funny story...

I leave the office yesterday and my truck is on fumes. I pull in to a Thornton's on the East Side of town and I'm pumping gas when this old white Cutlass on huge chrome wheels, flying Cardinal flags, pulls up next to me. Two dudes of African American decent hop out, pants down below their underwear, gold grills on their teeth, Cardinal hats sideways on their heads...and me being me, I couldn't resist but strike up a conversation and watch the magic unfold. "So boys, think your Cards are going to get it done tonight, or choke?"

    ....Long pause....

I'm waiting for a lesson in ebonics to begin (or to get shot, one of the two)....when one of them takes a few steps towards me, tilts his head back....and goes in to one of the most well-spoken and eloquent analyses of a basketball game I've ever heard. The dude was awesome. He could have been a commentator. He laid out the zone that Louisville played against Wichita, compared to Michigan's back court, Louisville's depth...praised Michigan's coach, Trey Burke as Naismith POY, etc, etc...I mean the kid brought his A-game. We stood there and talked for 10 minutes. Kid was awesome and really knew his basketball.

Point proven that you can't and shouldn't judge a book by its cover...nor should you believe all the stereotypes that come with rivalries. As I've said before, all Louisville fans aren't the inner-city thugs that they are labelled around here...and all Kentucky fans aren't the toothless hilljacks that they are labelled around there...even though sometimes they look the part. LOL We're all just a bunch of people that are a whole lot alike, who love basketball.

As for the game...very entertaining game between two great teams...and the best team won. I'm not a Cardinal fan, nor am I a Wolverine fan, so I just sat back and watched two good teams go at it. I wasn't really pulling for either. It was kind of nice that way, actually. I honestly tried to pull for Louisville, but it's just too unnatural for me. Duke fans aint pulling for Carolina...Auburn fans aint pulling for Bama...Ohio State fans aint pulling for Michigan...respect, yes...cheer-leading, no.

No disrespect for any of them.

I respect great coaches and great players. Louisville has both this year and deserved the win.

I'm thinking that the UK-UL rivalry is officially turned up a few notches...I mean, these clubs start alternating Championships and it's going to be heated up in here!!!!! LOL

I was bitter as a motor-oil sandwich sitting there last night watching Louisville play for a National Championship after Kentucky crashed and burned late in the season...won't even try to hide it...but I congratulate Louisville for their win. Their celebration and chest-thumping and arrogance after winning the title is well-earned. Kentucky fans would be doing the same thing if the tables were turned, just like last year.

SO, the 2012-2013 campaign is over.

I just wonder if Pitino will retire now? He made the Hall of Fame, won a National Championship at two schools that are arch-rivals, and his horse just won the Santa Anita Derby...Aside from having to go home and put his balls in a Crown Royal Bag that hangs around the rear view mirror of JoAnne's Mercedes, it was a pretty good day. Pretty good time to go out on top, honestly, for a guy who has accomplished a metric ton...professionally.

    Congrats, Cards.

Nice story. Too bad an intelligent kid can't learn to pull his pants up, because while it's true that "you can't judge a book by its cover," what you choose to wear is how you're choosing to present yourself to the world, and wearing your pants halfway down your ass is just disrespectful in my book.

Not so disrespectful to me. Classes of humans have made statetements for a long time. I could go on with examples but you get the point I hope.

Oh, don't get me wrong...I think it looks idiotic with half of a kid's ass hanging out of his pants and his mouth full of gold...but he probably thought I looked like poindexter in my khakis, golf shirt, and penny loafers too. We can still talk basketball at a gas station. It would be different if he showed up on my front porch to pick up my daughter.

    It is what it is...
