Mississippi Trip

waited all winter, to go to Ms and crappie fish lake Sardis. rented a cabin for a week, stayed 3 days and left. worst trip I ever took. Sardis is a large lake, 2 miles across the dam. the wind was so bad Saturday, I never lunched my boat, and sunday was about the same, the wind gust didn't seem to be as bad, so I lunched the boat and fished any place I could find a little shelter from the wind. the sheltered places were so crowded with boats. the bite was off, no one catching any crappie. I fished different depts, from 3 ft down to 12 ft. the water was muddy like a Chocolate shake. water temp 54 and I fished most of the day with One fish caught. came from 10 ft of water, it was a nice one 16 and 1/2 inches and weighed 2.4 pounds. monday was about the same, with another single fish caught. the weather channel was giving high wind for the rest of the week. so I gave up and came home.
