Where are you guys getting that these guys are Muslims? That may be true, but I haven't seen their religion reported anywhere. Maybe I've just missed it. What I have read is that their families moved to America when both of them were very young, and even their uncle says that the dead suspect "got what he deserved." Yes it's possible they were carrying out jihad. It's also possible they had other motives. Me, I'm going to wait for some more factual reports before deciding I know what this was all about.

Not sure if your serious about that but.....here in Lexington we had the opportunity to bid a communication package for a new mosque today. We actually put the quote out there ($20,000) and ended up pulling off the bid. Why? We decided enough is enough. This recent bombing (guilty muslim people or not) made us consider what may happen between now and when this project is actually being constructed. Do we want our trucks in the parking lot with our logo showing everyone who we are...no. What if 12 months from now we end up with a terrorist Muslim attack somewhere in the USA or overseas what then? Are we going to find it difficult to get payment on invoices? Will this place be vandalized, destroyed or construction crews hassled?? Will our presence on the job affect our business in a negative way?? Maybe.
We decided that since Muslims, mosques and or anything potentially tied to terrorist activity in any way shape or form is taboo to pull off. As a matter of fact when we were invited the first question was do you have a problem bidding on a mosque? We said no but this was last week. Again, regardless of these boys affiliation it's just not good business for us.
In the past we also turned down bidding "Hustler Hollywood" here in Lexington. We don't want to be associated with Porn or with the bad light shining on Muslims/mosques.

Yes it's true they're Muslim. But it makes a lot more sense to try and take the remaining suspect alive, if that can be done without endangering any more lives (doubtful at this point). The information that could be extracted could be crucial, like, is there anybody else involved? It's possible they had accomplices that have not yet been identified. And just what was their motive? Just labeling them as "radical Muslims" doesn't really tell the whole story. Most Chechen terrorism is carried out against Russia. The Islamic insurgents there are fighting what they see as a Russian occupation; they don't really have a beef with America. True, there have been a few Chechens in Al Quaeda pretty much since Day One, but only a very few, and so far it doesn't look like these guys had any connection with them.

It's not "head in the sand," it's wanting to know the FACTS of the situation (which I realize is not something you generally concern yourself with).

I never considered myself a bigot. Times change.We let these murderous scum preach hate, and they do!How can any rational person say its a religion of peace and love.They ARE killers and liars, period. They dont believe in american values, why do we let them come? A person who acts against them, can be and is charged with a hate crime, but muslims are not. Close half the mosques, maybe the scum will move on to some peacefull islamic country, if there is such a falicy.

I suspect we might be "cooperating" with Russia on operations in Chechnya very soon though.
