I don't have any problem if they continue to question him, with or without a lawyer present; I just don't want to see Obama blow this one, and it seems to me he's trying to straddle the fence. I guess the worst that could happen is the suspect will say something that will get thrown out of court, and they already have enough to fry him on the federal terrorism charges.
    Slippery slope......VERY Slippery.

No matter what the administration does they are screwed because the are PUSHING for bringing these evil ******** here for trial.

I didn't think an official position had been taken on domestic AMERICAN citizens in this country being tried for terrorism.

McVeigh was not....so I wonder why the difference here.

Like I said this is all new ground, and it will be interesting how this plays out..........I think he should be read his Miranda rights, because he is a United States Citizen, and under our constitution, he is AFFORDED that right.....that is clear.

The Constitution does not distinguish between citizens and non-citizens when it comes to Miranda rights.

You are right, but my point was more along citizen and non citizen terrorists. I think an enemy combatant that is a citizen is on a different level than an enemy combatant that is not a citizen.

Maybe not. Those are some of the issues that will certainly be in the courts in the very near future.
