RE: pressure: Think about this a minute, its an amusing thng:
We all got worried when the lake was being dropped to fix the dam, it did hurt the fishery, but the crowds stayed away. So we got to fish with less pressure.
Then we got our wish, the dam is fixed, the water is up, the ads all say "Come to C-land". And people are, and now with a fuller lake, we are pressured off a recovering fishery by the returning party folks.
Darn....do we have to be careful for what we wish for and do we need to continue to think like anglers and always find a way to make the most of what ever siutation is presented.
See what happens when I quit drinking for one night?????? I start asking dumber questions.
RE: fishing alternatives to cut Striper pressure. Fish close to the housboats as the sun sets, especially the one's with music and lots of folks, hope for an invite, and accept it. The best part about fishing in a hot tub is that what you are seeking has less room to run, can be caught on a "rod", and requires only bait from a longneck. 6-packs are easier to catch then throwing a cast net for shad. I like limiting out on hotties with shad breathe :-)
