As with any used boat you need to make sure that everything works properly. I would check the following if it were me.

- Have a compression check done on the motor. You want to make sure that it is the same in all cylinders. If one is lower then the rest then you may have a cylinder going down. That can be expensive to fix if it needs to be rebuilt.
- Check all the electrical items to make sure they work, bilge pump, livewell pump if there is one, lights, gauges etc.
- Check out the trailer and make sure there are no issues there. Ask when was the last time he packed the wheel bearings and if it has bunk boards when was the last time those were replaced.

Your biggest concern should be the motor though. If you can take it to a mechanic and have them look it over. It would be worth the $100 to know it is right. Otherwise it is a nice looking boat. Tri-hulls were great boats in their time. They ride smooth and can handle rough water well. They are not the fastest hull and like the other poster said that is a lot of boat for a 70hp motor.

Good luck on your search.
