Made the run to Bass Pro and got the 100mph parka top yesterday. I didn't like the bottoms because of the stretchy bungee straps for the shoulder harness. I figured I would wait and see what else is out there. Anyone have any problems with the bungee type material? Just looks flimsy to me.....

I put my pants on in a hurry once, got the bungee strap on my foot as it ran down the leg, and when that strap came of my big tow and retracted up the pants leg I thought I was gonna have to rename my boat to "Tiny-Tim".
So I don't buy rain pants with bungee straps, they have to have elastic waistlines. The kind that expand so you can wear them for 15 years (TYME>>>>>HELLO?S?S??S?SS).

Incidentally, since the bungee strap episode, I've found one of my 2 Adam's apples makes my knees give out when you squeeze it. The good news is I'm really excited each time I get to wear a tie.

After years and years of trying different cheaper rain gear and getting wet, I broke down and bought Cabelas Guidewear. Man, what a difference! Get either BPS 100mph, Cabelas Guidewear, or something equivalent. You won't be sorry...staying dry is NOT over rated.

I bought the guidewear extreme from Cabelas expensive but I bet I have had it for about ten years and it is still in great shape. I love it and would buy it again in a heart beat.

    guidewear

I have had the Cabela's guidewear for about 10 years and it is still as good as new. That's what I would go with again.
