I know where I want to go next year

My buddy Bruce sent me this picture of a nice big smallie he caught on a Flitterbait. He and my buddy Jim fished the Eastern part of Lake Erie, Niagara River and the "bar" in Lake Ontario. The caught 100 smallies a day. Here's one of the big ones they got. Wow.

mhall, I have never fished there either, that 100 fish a day report sure makes a man want to give it a try. back in the 90's this guy that would come to our job site, and sale supplies. and he would tell my fishing friend and myself of his fishing trips to lake erie. he said he would stay and fish near Dunkirk Newyork, he said the smallmouth fishing there was the best he ever had seen. here is a little info that makes for some good reading about lake Erie.

We regularly have 100 fish days in the Boundary Waters. Sometimes more than 100.

I know of two guys in our group that have put serious numbers days up. I've been close to 200 in a boat for 2 folks. And I know of others who have surpassed 200 on multiple occasions.

I definitely want to go to Erie, but if I have to give up my Quetico trip to go......NO WAY

    Later,

    Geo

Scott I to fight motion sickness at times it gets bad.
Dramimine and other motion sickness meds help alot but the key is to take them at least thirty minutes beforing leaving the dock and another a few hours later. A light, ''non greasy'' meal ahead of time is also a big plus.

I'm sure he can catch some good smallies, but my buddies didn't need a guide.
