    Thanks Geo, that is a good option, was thinking maybe go the the back of the campground, where the creek enters the river, put down some rod holders (corn, worms, powerbait, etc.) Only concern there is all the wood and hangups they would encounter. But still a good option, as well as other areas along the Cumberland bank. Thanks again.

    Flylie, my wife is a lot like a kid, when it comes to fishing. she will bass fish with me sometimes, but the slow rate of catching bass, makes her lose interest. we launched at the State dock on Cumberland and as your leaving the cove the ramp is in, if you turn right it will take you to the State dock and the main lake. but turn lift instead and go to the head of the creek, the water will be shallow, but that place is full of bluegill. we fished about 3 ft below a bobber, with pieces of nightcrawler's and it was lots of fun for us both, good luck where ever you try with the kids.
