--This has often been true. But the pendulum stops swinging when it gets kicked off the stand by outside forces.
Our immigration policies will continue to heavily tilt the electorate toward the left. We are also experiencing dramatic cultural shifts, with mass media and the public educational system as catalysts.
In 30-40 years, I believe there will be only a fringe conservative base. The rest will be liberal and ultra-liberal. Pandora's out of the box and she ain't getting back in.
The best way to lose any fight is to throw in the towel early.
Of integrity and credibility, how would you rank them from the one you would trust your life to vs the one you would not?:
-A politician
-A lawyer
-A news reporter
-A small lot used car dealer
-A law enforcement officer (city, state or federal)
-A fire fighter
-A doctor
In order of merit, which of these people is really most likely to save your live, save you from harm, and make things better, if even for just a short time.?
Just copy and paste the list and then put a number before the dash, 1 is the highest respect, and bigger number push position down the list.
PS: I left combat vets off the list because that's a no-brainer. Already qualify because already been there and done that for us as Americans.

Great Post.
A little reasoning..........Doctor, firefighter at the top because they are the ones that may directly be able to save my life based on my everyday actions.
Law Enforcement because they try to keep the peace, and LAWS are necessary in society.
New Reporter.......they try. Some are better than others, and they rate higher.
Used car dealer. Necessary evil..but they are at least trying to make an honest buck. At least most of them.
Politician.........pretty much useless.
Lawyers......well they are SCUM of the earth, especially ambulance chasers. Prosecutors on the other hand, they are up there next to law enforcement in my book. Low wages, and they do it because the LOVE IT.

I can't answer this. I have personally known both doctors and cops from both ends of the spectrum, ones that would do anything and take any risk to help you, and ones that might not piss on you to put you out if you were on fire in the street.Of integrity and credibility, how would you rank them from the one you would trust your life to vs the one you would not?:
