Fished there this weekend the bite was slow for us with a bunch of hand sized gills.

I been threatning for years to make the drive to Ky lake one May to and get in on some red ear action, but never have. Sitting here at work today looking out knowing I could be on the lake is about to drive me crazy. If I were to drive down tomorrow after work would anyone give me some pointers on where to go. I would need a place to stay on Tuesday night and a good bait store close by. I was thinking of staying at Moores and fishing the bays on the east side of the lake. Does that sound like a decent plan. Like I said, Ive never been there so I have no idea what to expect. I have a 19 ft Tracker with GPS, so I believe I can get around the lake. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris
