I don't know anything about the Officer that was killed, but everyone is asking who, and why. there are lots of crooked cops, not saying he was. just thinking why this happened, most ambushes are for a reason.

He was their only K9 officer, and from what I've read was big into drug enforcement. Pissing off the wrong dealer/grower could be reason enough.

On a positive note (if that's possible), his dog is being retired to live out his days with the officer's family.

That is what I heard. It was meant for him. No one knows for sure except for the scumbag.
