I like to fish any water for any species but interested in learning more about stippers, catfish & muskies. I live in Fern Creek & willing to pay for fishing trips for the knowledge of the waters & different ways of fishing down here. I was a tournament fisher back in the 80's & 90's in Mich & usually placed in the top 3 if not 1st. I like to fish for bass too but don't keep them unless u do. I have lots of rods & way to many lures, but fishing alone kindof *****. My wife likes to fish but only has wk ends off & I'm retired so have lots of time to go fishing. I'm an easy goin guy w/ a good sence of humor, known as a good ole country boy back in Mich so I tend to fit right in down here. Being on the water is much better than sittin on the couch watching hunting & fishing shows! I have fished McNeally lake & caught some nice gills but talked to a few people that said they wouldn't eat the fish from there because of the polutants in the lake from yrs past. Also fished the fishermans park near here for trout & cats & did good there too but looking for other lakes to try. Where are you from? Not knowing the muddier water down here worries me of damaging my boat. So if you would like to go fishing give me a shout, thanks for your reply....Doug
Thank you sir, I've been lucky. I fish mainly the Ohio river but have fished all the lakes you have mentioned. The bad wrap Mcneally got goes back to the 70's, I used to live over by it and during the summer the moss would be so bad you could practically walk across it.Plus it was thought the sewage from the near by apartments made it's way into it also. I was born and raised in the Lou. area and surrounding counties but am know stranger to Mich. My sister played B-ball at Mich. St. so I've ventured up there a few times. We do get a pretty good walleye and sauger run down here on the river so you will feel more at home during the winter lol. Alot of the guy's on here get together down at the Falls of the Ohio .I'm sure if the river is a place you would like to get to know plenty of the guy's on here including myself can give you all the info you need to get you started fishing in this area. Again welcome to the board and look forward to seeing you on the river. Chuck

Your welcome Chuck, catches like that deseve rewarding. Glad to see your a photo nut like me, cause we both know how fisherman streatch the truth. I have 100's of pics, need to figure out how to start an album. Very interested in the wallye & sauger runs, one of my fave fish to eat. I mostly catch, take pics & release but a few fish I like to eat, walleye, panfish & trout. Still trying to figure out how to prepare/cook a catfish so they don't taste like the bottom of the lake, any ideas? Having trouble adjusting to the muddy water down here, not being able to see structure, dropoffs & bedding fish. I have good electronics but that takes alot of scouting just to figure out lakes I never been on. Chipped my prop on t-ville lake yesterday looking for some bluegill beds, gonna use the trolling motor more often while scouting (cheaper props). I'm very interested in leaning more about the ohio river, I fished the Detroit river alot when the walleye run there, huge runs of fish & big fish from 6 to 10lb fish are common just after ice out then tons of smaller good eating males follow. Looking for a good panfish lake before they are done spawning, headed back to Mich soon to take advantage of the bluegill spawn, I still have a place up there where my son holds down the fort. I wanna thank you for the warm welcome here, seems to be a good ole bunch of guys on here. Looking foward to getting rid of my (greenhorn) status here....LOL Good fishin & be safe, Doug
