Rough River Lake

I was there yesterday, Monday 6/3, and had a good day. We had more keepers than short fish. We ran the lake and fished mainly the mouths an secondary points of pockets that had the dying brush type weeds and fished them with soft plastics. Were also able to get a few on spinnerbaits in the morning. Had no luck with a topwater bite. Water was pretty clear. Fished from the State Park to Walter Creek and back.

Fished yesterday (6/6/13) after the rain stopped. We caught a bunch of short fish on flukes and shaky-head worms on points and back in the coves. We put in at Axtel and fished the area around Long lick.

I am in bad need of some other spots to try if anyone is willing to share some knowledge.

Iamlegend sorry I didn't get back with ya before your tourney. I wouldn't have been much help. All we caught were shorties all day. Took my dad and brother in law so I didn really fish my spots the way I normally would we kinda just kept the boat moving along the bank.

It's ok Ronzo I finished 5th today and should of finished higher if I hadn't lost a good one at the boat. It was a tough day and we had 3 keepers. Mostly flipping plastics into the grass and tossing a shakey head when we were on rock. I fished south fork all day so I'm not sure how it was on the north fork end.
